How your Bridal Consultation Works with Caroline Griffiths
So, you’ve booked your bridal consultation — how exciting! Whether it’s your very first appointment or you’ve already tried on a few gowns elsewhere, walking into a boutique can feel like a big moment. At Bridal Gossip in Cornwall, I want it to feel more like sitting down for a chat with a friend than ticking off a stressful wedding to-do.
We’ll always start with a cup of tea (or bubbles if you’d like!) and a sofa chat. For me, dress shopping is never just about the gown—it’s about your story. As we talk, I’ll learn about your style, your lifestyle, your wedding plans, even the things you don’t like.
That’s when the magic happens, because it helps me picture the shapes, fabrics, and styles that will make you light up.
I’ll also gently ask some questions:
– What are you hoping your dress will make you feel?
– Do you have any body areas you’d like to highlight (or camouflage)?
– Have you tried on wedding dresses before?
And don’t worry if you don’t have answers. Many brides arrive unsure, and that’s completely normal. My gift is helping you relax, explore, and discover what feels right for you. And giving you my undivided attention in the boutique and all the time you need to explore the collection of dresses around the room.
We’ll talk about your wedding, too—whether it’s an intimate Cornish celebration, a festival-style marquee weekend, or a destination wedding with a formal and structured plan for the day.
Your plans help me recommend fabrics and fits that will not only look stunning but feel comfortable all day long. After all, your dress should let you eat, dance, hug, and feel amazing from morning to midnight.
Bridal Gossip appointments last up to 90 minutes, giving you plenty of time to try, laugh, and maybe even surprise yourself. Many brides find “the one” at their very first visit—so keep an open mind and, most importantly, notice how each dress makes you feel. Take a peek at some of the collection here.
If you’re starting your search for wedding dresses in Cornwall and want an experience that’s relaxed, supportive, and joy-filled, I’d love to welcome you. Bring your closest people (no more than three is perfect), leave the stress at the door, and let’s find your dream dress together.
See you soon,
